Where is the Leadership? By: Tan Williams |
| |
During the biggest economic crisis in generations, perhaps in the country’s history, the President is nowhere to be found.
Unless you live under a rock, you’ve heard that both Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch are gone, that AIG is being bailed out to the tune of billions, the US Treasury has been emptied and the American taxpayer has been made obligated to pick up the tab.
We’re facing the greatest challenge that our nation has ever faced and to calm our fears the Administration has said nothing.
After 9/11 the President rightfully spoke to the nation, explaining what had happened and what we intended to do about it. Well, this crisis is as big if not bigger than 9/11 yet the President has made no such appearance, why? Could it be that from the perspective of the Administration there is no problem.
Let me clue you into something that a few years ago I would have been called a quack for suggesting, but that now seems to be the raw and honest truth. This Administration wanted this economic crisis; they wanted to tank the wealth of the nation.
Why? because they despise individuals having wealth. What they want is a nation of workers. They want everyone to be as poor and as in debt as possible.
We have been betrayed by our own government who has made this crisis possible. They are the ones that deregulated all these agencies which like pigs at the troth, gorged themselves until they could consume no more.
But why would a nation of debtors be more favorable than a nation of independent wealth? Easy answer. Consolidation of wealth.
Consider; one fourth of the money you pay in taxes goes to pay the interest on the loans the nation receives. The loans we receive come from private companies which are owned by individuals; therefore, one forth of the money you pay in taxes goes to a select few individuals. It is the biggest most successful scam that has ever been perpetrated in history, and you, your children and their children will pay the price.
So where has the President been? I assume he is celebrating his success. And what a success he has been. He has tanked the nation and created a debt of around 10 trillion dollars. Consider; the interest on ten trillion dollars is 2.5 trillion dollars. Now that is a business deal.
Think Bush will stay in this country after he leaves office? Think again. The day he leaves office he will leave the country.
Eventually the truth about what has happened will come out. But not before all the responsible parties are long since gone. It’s time to take back the government, before your grandchildren’s grandchildren get dragged into this. God help us.
