Little Big Town Enjoying The "Ride"
The members of Little Big Town have lots of praise for Carrie Underwood. The performers are on the road together, on Underwood's "Carnival Ride" tour. Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild says the one-time "American Idol" winner is an incredible singer, telling "The Chicago Tribune," quote, "When Carrie comes out, the crowd just comes unglued." She describes Underwood as "a girl who has the chops," and adds, quote, "the tone of her voice is so easy to listen to." Fairchild notes that the headliner also knows how to command a stage and put on a show, explaining that she includes lots of drama and costumes. In addition, while Underwood now has a hefty collection of hits to perform, Fairchild says Carrie shares her influences with the fans by performing a number of covers -- including a Guns N' Roses tune. But she also notes that her band doesn't exactly pale on stage. The singer explains, quote, "We pack that 45-minutes about as full as you can pack 45 minutes." The trek is currently north of the border. They're next stop will be in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on Friday. |
