"Idol" Finalist Paris Bennett Welcomes Baby Girl
Clay Aiken is not the only former "American Idol" contestant with a new baby. Season five finalist Paris Bennett has given birth to a baby girl. People.com quotes a rep for the singer who says little Egypt Bennett was born Monday afternoon, weighing in at five pounds, 15 ounces. In a statement Bennett said she was excited to see her "little angel," adding, quote, "and man, does she have lungs on her. I guess she's gearing up to be the next 'American Idol.'" The 20-year-old announced in June that she was expecting. At the time her mother told the "Minneapolis StarTribune" that the baby's father chose "not to be in the public eye." Bennett will release her album "A Royal Christmas" on October 14th. |
