Quick Bites
The latest season of "Gone Country" is over, but another Nashville outsider is trying his hand at country music. CBS' "The Early Show" co-anchor Harry Smith recently hit the studio to record "The Red States, Blue States Blues," a tune he wrote about the current political climate. Producer Jimmy Nichols was at the helm for the session, while the newsman sang the duet with country newcomer Sarah Darling. The video is posted online at CBSNews.com. It's also available for download from iTunes. Hal Ketchum will be promoting his latest CD at the Grand Ole Opry. The singer will be on hand at the Opry Shop on Saturday to meet fans and autograph copies of "Father Time." He'll also be at the Opry the following Saturday to perform. He'll be taking the stage at the famed venue on October 18th.
