It's Possible "Anything Goes" With Reba McEntire
Reba McEntire is reportedly poised to return to the Broadway stage. "The New York Post" says producers are trying to get the singer and actress to take a role in an upcoming revival of the Cole Porter musical "Anything Goes." There is speculation that she'll play the part of Reno Sweeney, whose vocal numbers include "I Get a Kick Out of You," "You're the Top," and the title tune. McEntire made her Broadway debut back in 2001 in the revival of "Annie Get Your Gun," and she's credited with reviving interest in the production. Ticket sales turned around with her addition to the cast and the show began raking in nearly a million dollars a week. While Reba has said she enjoyed performing on Broadway and would like to do so again, in recent years her schedule -- which included recording sessions, concerts, and her TV sitcom, "Reba" -- has prevented it. But with "Reba's" six-season run now over, McEntire might now have the time to continue her acting career on the stage.
