Taylor Swift continues to break records. The singer is the first artist ever to have six top 20 debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart within a calendar year. According to Billboard.com, Swift's new single, "White Horse," debuted at number 13 today, making Swift the new record holder.
Kathy Mattea will join the 2008 Santa Train this weekend. The train makes a special journey each year, with 14 stops in Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee to distribute 15-tons of toys and gifts to people along the route. This year will mark the Santa Train's 66th trip through the region.
Patty Loveless, who this year celebrated her 20th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry, will be among the performers on the legendary stage this weekend. Others taking part in shows Friday and Saturday night include Marty Stuart, Terri Clark, Connie Smith, John Conlee, Danielle Peck, and Hal Ketchum. |
