Madonna, Guy Ritchie Reach Custody Settlement
The high-profile divorce between Madonna and Guy Ritchie is coming to a close more quickly than expected. Sources tell Britain's "Daily Mail" that the couple, who announced their divorce just last month, have already reached an agreement regarding their children. Madonna had opted to bring the couple's eight-year-old biological son and three-year-old adopted son to New York. Ritchie on the other hand wanted to keep the boys in London where they had been living previously. The two have now reached agreed to split the boys' time between the two cities.
When it comes to the financial division after their eight-year-marriage, Ritchie has reportedly told lawyers he doesn't want any of the pop queen's money. Madonna is said to be worth an estimated 800-million-dollars while film director Ritchie is worth around 50-million. The source calls Ritchie "honorable" to have walked away from the money when British Divorce law states the couple's wealth should be divided. They added, quote, "Ritchie could have taken her to the cleaners." The divorce is expected to be completely settled by the end of the month. |
