Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Jonas Brothers Pick Up "Razzie" Awards
Beyonce may have picked up six GRAMMY Awards Sunday night, but she has also picked up an award nomination that isn't such a high honor. The singer has been nominated for Worst Actress by the Golden Raspberry Awards for her turn in the film "Obsessed." She's not alone in the Razzie fun. Fellow pop stars like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus also landed Razzie nods. Dishonoring the "worst" in film, the Golden Raspberry Award nominees were announced Monday. The Razzies also nominated Cyrus as another Worst Actress nominee for her role in "Hannah Montana: The Movie." All three Jonas Brothers share a nod for Worst Actor for "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience." They also share a nomination for Worst Screen Couple. Cyrus' father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is nominated for the Worst Supporting Actor Razzie for his role in the "Hannah Montana" movie.
Singers and some part-time songbirds are among those nominated for the Worst Actress of the Decade. They include Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. Lohan's debut album, "Speak," was certified platinum in 2005 and her second album, "A Little More Personal (Raw)," was certified gold in 2006. Hilton's self-titled debut album, "Paris," eeked out a single "Stars Are Blind," that sat at number six on the Billboard 200 singles chart in 2006. |
