Steel Magnolia Excited About ACM Nomination
Steel Magnolia's Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones are thrilled to be nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award. The performers are in the running for Top New Vocal Duo, facing Bomshel and Joey + Rory for the honor. Linsey notes, quote, "I remember watching the ACMs when I was a little girl and dreaming about my acceptance speech. I'm so excited that there's a possibility of it actually happening this year." She adds, quote, "It's been such an incredible year for us both and we are so happy to be connecting with so many Country music fans. They have been so supportive! They make it possible for us to do what we do." Steel Magnolia have reached the top 20 with their single "Keep On Lovin' You." The song is from the "Valentine's Day Original Motion Picture Soundtrack," which will be in stores on February 9th.
Fans decide the winners in the ACM's Top New Vocal Duo, Top New Vocal Group, and Top New Solo Artist categories. The public can begin casting their ballots at VoteACM.com on February 26th. The winners in each of those categories will become the nominees for Top New Artist, which will also be decided by an online vote. That winner will be announced during the 45th annual ACM Awards, which will be presented live in Las Vegas and air on CBS on April 18th. |
