Rhonda Vincent, The Grascals Lead The Way Heading Into Bluegrass Award
Rhonda Vincent and her group are among the top nominees for the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America's awards event, coming up this weekend. The singer's bids include Entertainer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year (Contemporary), while her CD "Destination Life" is a contender for Bluegrass Album of the Year. In addition, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage are in the running for Vocal Group of the Year and Bluegrass Band of the Year (Overall). The Grascals are also entering the ceremony with several chances to win. Their six nods include Vocal Group Of The Year, Instrumental Group Of The Year, Entertaining Group Of The Year and Bluegrass Band Of The Year (Overall). Both Rhonda Vincent & The Rage and The Grascals are slated to perform at the event.
The 2010 SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards will take place Sunday at the Sheraton Music City Hotel in Nashville. The ceremony will cap off the 36th annual SPBGMA National Convention, a four-day event which is currently under way in Nashville. |
