Jordin Sparks Pushes For SOS Children's Villages Haiti Relief
"American Idol" season six winner Jordin Sparks is working on raising awareness for the charity SOS Children's Villages and its Haiti relief efforts. The singer is featured in a PSA where she asks for support for the organization. But that's not all -- Sparks also designed a Swarovski crystal-encrusted denim jacket for an SOS celebrity auction. The singer also plans to pay a visit to the Florida Village this month to visit the children and families SOS helps. Sparks asks for Haiti support saying, quote, "SOS Children's Villages is on the ground, helping support children who have lost their parents and extended families and providing them with a loving, nurturing environment." Sparks is also involved with the "I'm MAD, Are You?" campaign that coincides with this weekend's Super Bowl. MAD, or "Making A Difference," encourages people of all ages to direct their "mad" energy into helping their communities. The recording star is also bringing her annual "Jordin Sparks Experience" to Miami right now with help from fellow singers David Archuleta, Mario, and Jason Derulo. Sparks and her famous friends delivered signed teddy bears Thursday to needy children. Tonight's event, put on by Sparks Charities, is "The Red, White, & Black After-Party to cap off the week.
