Guns N' Roses Remains Viable By Playing "Real" Music
Guns N' Roses keyboardist Dizzy Reed attributes the band's longevity to their music. He tells Vegas.com that the group remains popular with fans because what they play is "real rock 'n' roll," not something that's "contrived." Reed says the group has also "expanded" over the years, "like every band needs to do at some point." The rocker explains that groups "can only beat the same three chords the same way so many times before people just go, 'whatever,'" and Guns N' Roses has managed to expand their horizons. He adds that GNR's willingness to stretch was part of what attracted him to the group. Guns N' Roses are playing a pair of shows at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas this weekend, including a New Year's Eve concert Saturday night. |
